Best-Fit Profile

This role is ideal for experienced Ex-Servicemen (JCO or equivalent rank) from military or paramilitary forces seeking a permanent government position in a prestigious national research organization. Candidates with a strong background in security operations, administration, firearms, firefighting, and investigations, coupled with leadership experience, will find this opportunity suitable. The position is based primarily in Dhanbad, Jharkhand, but candidates must be open to posting anywhere in India within CSIR's network.

Important Considerations

Individuals who do not possess the specified military/paramilitary rank (JCO or equivalent) and the requisite minimum of 5-10 years of security experience should not apply. Those unwilling to be posted outside Dhanbad or not meeting the strict upper age limit of 35 years (with ex-servicemen relaxation only) will also find this unsuitable. This is not for freshers or candidates without a service background.

Career Impact

Working as a Security Officer at CSIR-CIMFR, a premier ISO-9001 certified national research institute, offers significant prestige and a stable career path under the Government of India. The role provides opportunities for career advancement within CSIR and includes comprehensive central government benefits like the New Pension Scheme, medical reimbursements, and various allowances, ensuring long-term security and growth within the public sector.
