Project Associate-I operates at the apex campus of CSIR - National Environmental Engineering Research Institute (CSIR-NEERI) on Nehru Marg, near Ajni Square, Nagpur, Maharashtra. Assigned to the flagship in-house research initiative 'Living lab @ CSIR-NEERI : A Sustainable Campus Initiative (OLP-74)', the associate executes on-ground biodiversity indexing, floral and faunal surveys, eco-restoration monitoring, urban forestry assessment, and environmental sample collection (air, soil, ambient noise, and runoff water). Duties include laboratory physicochemical analysis of water/soil samples, taxonomic documentation of campus flora, operating analytical spectrophotometers and field probes, compiling baseline ecological datasets, and preparing technical reports under the Principal Scientist. Work hours are 09:00 AM to 05:30 PM with occasional early morning or seasonal field tracking schedules.
