Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification
Candidates must be Ex-servicemen, holding the rank of Junior Commissioned Officer (JCO) in the Army or an equivalent rank in other Paramilitary Forces.
Age Limit Details
The upper age limit is 28 years. Age relaxation for Ex-servicemen is applicable as per Rule 2(c) of Ex-Servicemen (Re-employment in Central Civil Services and Posts) Rules 1979. For Widows, Divorced Women, and Women judicially separated who are not remarried, the upper age limit is relaxable up to 35 years.
Salary & Pay Scale
The post offers a salary in Pay Level 6 with approximate total emoluments of ₹65,856 per month at the minimum of the pay scale. This includes Dearness Allowance (DA), Transport Allowance (TA), and House Rent Allowance (HRA). Other benefits include the New Pension Scheme, medical expense reimbursement, Leave Travel Concession, and Children Education Allowance as per CSIR/Govt. of India rules.

Application Fee
An application fee of ₹500 is required for general candidates, payable through SB Collect. Candidates belonging to SC/ST, Ex-servicemen, Women, and regular employees of CSIR are exempted from paying the application fee.
