Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification

Candidates must meet one of the following criteria:

  • For B.Sc. Nurses (2021 onwards): Passed integrated course of BPCCHN included in B.Sc. Nursing in the year 2021 or thereafter from an institute recognized by West Bengal Nursing Council.
  • For GNM/Post Basic B.Sc./B.Sc. Nurses (before 2021): Passed General & Midwifery (GNM)/ Post Basic B.Sc/ B.Sc. Nursing before the year 2021 from an institute recognized by West Bengal Nursing Council.

Common Requirements:

  • Must have a registration Certificate/Provisional certificate from West Bengal Nursing Council (WBNC).
  • Must be a permanent resident of West Bengal.
  • Proficiency in the local language is required.

Desirable Criteria: Competency in MS Office & Internet.

Age Limit Details

The maximum age limit is 40 years as of 01/04/2025. Age relaxation is applicable for reserved category candidates as per Government norms.

Salary & Pay Scale

The consolidated remuneration for the post is Rs. 20,000.00 per month. In addition, Community Health Officers (CHOs) are eligible for a maximum incentive of Rs. 5,000 per month as a Performance Linked Incentive (PLI) based on approved parameters. During the training period for certain candidates, a stipend of Rs. 10,000 per month will be provided.
