Educational & Eligibility Criteria:
• Medical Degree: Degree in Ayurveda (BAMS) from a recognized University / statutory State Board / Council under the Indian Medicine Central Council Act, 1970.
• Registration: Active enrolment on the Central Register of Indian Medicine or State Register of Indian Medicine.
• Mandatory Service Condition: Only candidates retired from Central or State Government services under the Old Pension Scheme (OPS) are eligible.
• Private Practice Restriction: The engagement is full-time in nature; private practice of any kind is strictly prohibited.

Age Limit & Relaxations

Candidate must not exceed 68 years of age as on the date of reporting for interview (11.09.2026). Maximum age ceiling for contract extension is up to 70 years.

The Ayurvedic Medical Officer provides comprehensive primary healthcare, holistic lifestyle counseling, preventive Panchakarma interventions, chronic disease management (arthritis, metabolic disorders, digestive ailments, respiratory issues), and Ayurvedic drug dispensing to insured workers and their dependent family members under the ESI Scheme. Working hours are standard hospital OPD timings (typically 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM on weekdays, 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM on Saturdays). Daily biometric attendance on AEBAS is mandatory. Full-time contractual engagement; private practice of any kind is strictly prohibited.
