- Essential: Candidates must possess a B.E. or B.Tech. / M.E. or M.Tech. degree in Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, Metallurgy and Materials Engineering, or Biomedical Engineering (or equivalent) from a recognized University/Institute.
- A minimum of 60% marks or 6.5 CGPA on a 10-point scale is required for general candidates, along with a valid GATE/NET score.
- For SC/ST/PwD category candidates, a minimum of 55% marks or 6.0 CGPA on a 10-point scale is required, also with a valid GATE/NET score.
- Desirable: Experience and published works in the domain of orthopaedic biomechanics and biomaterials are preferred. Skills in handling medical image processing software, computer-aided design and engineering tools, simulation tools for material design/testing, and characterisation are also desired.
