- Graduate degree (B.E./B. Tech) in Metallurgical Engineering/Materials Science and Engineering/Mechanical Engineering with First Division and GATE/NET qualification.

- Postgraduate degree in a professional course (M.E./M.Tech/M.S.) in Metallurgical Engineering/Materials Science and Engineering/Mechanical Engineering with First Division at both graduate and postgraduate levels.
- Candidates qualified in GATE/NET.
- Research experience in fields such as Powder Metallurgy, Additive Manufacturing, Microstructural characterization, Mechanical Behaviour, Superalloys, Modelling and Simulation.
- Preference will be given to candidates possessing the above-mentioned desirable qualifications.
