Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification
Candidates must possess a Master's degree in a relevant field (Physics, Atmospheric Science, Mathematics, Oceanography, Geology, or related life/environmental sciences). Additionally, candidates must have qualified NET/GATE/LS (CSIR/UGC/ICAR). Final year students may apply, provided they pass their examination by the time of appointment.
Age Limit Details
Upper age limit is relaxed by:
- SC/ST: 5 years
- Women: 5 years
- OBC: 3 years
- PwBD: 10 years
- Ex-servicemen: As per government rules
Salary & Pay Scale
Selected fellows will receive a stipend of Rs. 31,000/- per month plus admissible HRA. The fellowship is provided for a 4-year tenure, split into two years of JRF and two years of SRF, subject to DST guidelines and periodic evaluation.
