Indian Navy Agniveer (SSR) Recruitment 2026 - Apply for Various Posts

Note: There shall be no entitlement to gratuity and pensionary benefits.

Agniveers will be provided with a non-contributory Life Insurance Cover of Rs. 48 lakh for the duration of their engagement period. Death Compensation includes an ex-gratia payment of Rs. 44 lakh for death attributable to service, in addition to the insurance cover. Disability Compensation provides a one-time ex-gratia of Rs. 44/25/15 lakh based on the percentage of disability (100%/75%/50%).

Candidates must apply online through the official website https://joinindiannavy.gov.in between March 14, 2026 (00:01 hrs) and April 06, 2026 (17:00 hrs). It is crucial to fill in correct details as incorrect information will lead to cancellation of candidature. The application can also be uploaded from Common Service Centers (CSC) for a fee of Rs 60 + GST, which is optional.

• Candidates need to upload a recent passport-size color photograph (taken not before March 2026), between 10 KB to 50 KB. The photograph must show the candidate holding a black slate in front of their chest with their name and date of photograph clearly written in white chalk. Changes in appearance may lead to candidature cancellation.
• A live photograph will also be captured via webcam during the application process; ensure it is of good quality.
• Candidates must provide three city preferences for the Indian Naval Entrance Test (INET). However, the Indian Navy reserves the right to allot any other location for administrative reasons, and changes to the chosen center are not permitted once selected or allotted.
• Call-up letters cum admit cards for Stage I - INET 2026 will be available for download from the website approximately one week before the online examination. No physical call-up letters will be sent by post.
• All communication will be through electronic mode; no documents will be sent by post at any stage.
• Original certificates, mark sheets, Domicile certificate, and NCC certificate (if applicable) must be brought by the candidate at all stages of recruitment, including at INS Chilka, for verification. Discrepancies between online application details and original documents will result in cancellation of candidature.
• Candidates declaring incorrect Domicile/Gender details will be barred from recruitment.
• Candidates failing to report on the specified date and time will not be allowed to appear in the examination. Latecomers (30 minutes after reporting time) will also be denied entry.
• Candidates must not submit multiple applications; doing so will result in cancellation of candidature.
• A 2-day window will be provided post-application deadline for corrections, and an additional 2-day window post-INET exam for further amendments.

An examination fee of ₹550/- (Rupees Five hundred fifty only) plus 18% GST is required for the Stage I - INET application. Fees can be paid online via net banking, Visa/Master/RuPay Credit/Debit Card/UPI.

• Admit cards will only be issued to candidates who have successfully paid the fee.
• Fees, once paid, are non-refundable and cannot be reserved for future examinations or selections.
• Candidates found to have registered multiple times will be rejected and de-barred from the examination, with no reimbursement of exam fees.
• If payment is deducted but an admit card isn't generated, candidates should wait for 7 working days for an automatic refund.
• No separate fee is required for the Stage II process.
