Best-Fit Profile

This role is ideal for young, unmarried Indian males and females who are 10+2/Diploma qualified in Science/Engineering, are physically fit, disciplined, and aspire for a career in the Indian Navy. Candidates with a strong academic background in Physics and Mathematics, and those willing to serve a four-year tenure with potential for permanent enrolment, would find this opportunity highly suitable.

Important Considerations

Married individuals, those outside the specified age limits (approximately 17-22 years as of the recruitment cycle), candidates with less than 50% aggregate marks in 10+2 (with PCM) or Diploma, and those with unacceptable tattoos or specific medical conditions are not eligible. Individuals seeking immediate permanent government employment might reconsider due to the initial four-year contractual Agniveer scheme.

Career Impact

Joining the Indian Navy as an Agniveer (SSR) offers a prestigious entry into national service, contributing to 'Combat Ready, Cohesive, Aatmanirbhar Bharat.' While initially a four-year contractual role, it provides a unique opportunity for up to 25% of each batch to be permanently enrolled as sailors, offering long-term career growth, comprehensive benefits, and a distinguished life in the armed forces. It builds valuable skills and provides a strong foundation for future career paths, whether in the Navy or in civilian life.
