Inland Waterways Authority of India (IWAI) Recruitment 2026: 1 Member (Technical) Vacancy

This role is ideally suited for highly experienced Group 'A' Engineering Service Officers or equivalent professionals from PSUs/Autonomous Bodies within the Ministry of Ports, Shipping and Waterways, particularly those with a strong background in Civil Structure and Inland Water Transport. Candidates currently serving at Level 14 or Level 13 (with 5 years of service at that level) of the 7th CPC Pay Matrix, or Chief Engineers from Major Ports, are the prime candidates. This deputation offers an opportunity to lead technical aspects of inland waterways development.

This is a deputation-based role for a single, highly senior position, requiring specific prior experience (7 years in Civil Structure for Engineering Service Officers, or 5 years as Chief Engineer) and a current analogous pay level. Freshers or candidates without significant government/PSU experience in relevant engineering fields and specific pay scales will not be eligible. Those seeking permanent employment or entry-level positions should not apply.
