Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification

For Intermediate Trained Special Education Assistant Teacher (Classes 1-5): Candidates need to have passed 10+2/Intermediate or equivalent with a minimum of 50% marks (45% for specific batches) AND possess an RCI recognized diploma/certificate in special education (such as 2-year D.Ed Special Education, 1-year DSE, various 6-month certificate courses in special needs, etc.) with a valid RCI CRR Number. Passing the Jharkhand Teacher Eligibility Test (J-TET) for classes 1-5 is also mandatory.
For Graduate Trained Special Education Assistant Teacher (Classes 6-8): Applicants must hold a Bachelor's degree (minimum three years) in the relevant subject (Science & Math, Social Science, or Language) with at least 50% marks (45% for specific batches) AND an RCI recognized B.Ed. in Special Education or B.Ed. (General) with a 1 or 2-year Diploma in Special Education, all with a valid RCI CRR Number. RCI registration and passing the J-TET for classes 6-8 are also essential.

Maximum Age Limits:
- Unreserved & Economically Weaker Sections (EWS): 40 years
- Extremely Backward Class (Annexure-I) & Backward Class (Annexure-II) (Male): 42 years
- Female (Unreserved, EWS, EBC (Annexure-I) & BC (Annexure-II)): 43 years
- Scheduled Caste (Male & Female): 45 years
- Scheduled Tribe (Male & Female): 45 years
Persons with Disability (PWD): Eligible for an additional 5 years age relaxation, provided they have at least 40% disability.
Ex-Servicemen: Eligible for an additional 5 years age relaxation on the maximum age limit.
Contractual Resource Persons: Contractual Resource Persons under Jharkhand Education Project Council with a minimum of two consecutive years of service are eligible for age relaxation equivalent to their service period, up to a maximum age of 58 years.
