Job Analysis

AI-generated insights

Best-Fit Profile

This role is ideally suited for highly motivated postgraduate candidates (M.Sc./M.Tech) in Life Sciences with a strong background and hands-on experience in Molecular Biology and Biochemistry. The position requires proficiency in advanced cloning techniques, cell/tissue culture, animal handling, and DNA/RNA/Protein analysis. It's perfect for individuals seeking project-based contractual research experience within a prestigious national institute, contributing to a specific, time-bound research project until March 2029.

Important Considerations

Individuals without practical experience in molecular biology and biochemistry techniques as listed in the job description should not apply, as proficiency is desired. Those looking for a permanent government position or long-term job security may find the contractual and time-bound nature of this project (until March 2029) unsuitable. Candidates unable to adhere to the strict email application format, or failing to submit a comprehensive CV with referees, will also face disqualification.

Career Impact

The National Institute of Immunology (NII) is a highly respected national research institution, offering significant prestige and exposure in the scientific community. While this specific role is contractual and project-bound, it provides invaluable experience working on a sponsored project under a Staff Scientist. This can be an excellent stepping stone for a career in academic research, further doctoral studies, or specialized R&D roles, though it does not guarantee long-term employment within NII beyond the project duration.
