National Capital Region Transport Corporation (NCRTC) is a joint venture of the Government of India and participating State Governments of Delhi, Haryana, Rajasthan, and Uttar Pradesh. Under the administrative control of the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs, NCRTC is mandated to implement the Namo Bharat Project in the National Capital Region (NCR).
This project aims to ensure balanced and sustainable urban development through improved connectivity and access by establishing a new, dedicated, high-speed, rail-based, high-capacity commuter service connecting regional nodes in the NCR. The ongoing implementation of the Delhi-Meerut corridor, with a 55 km stretch already operational, highlights NCRTC's role in creating vital transport infrastructure and fostering economic development in the region.
