- Senior Research Fellow (SRF): M.Tech. (4 yrs UG + 2 yrs PG) in Food Science and Technology/ Food Process Engineering/ Food and Agricultural Process Engineering/Processing and Food Engineering/Food Processing Technology/Post Harvest Technology.
- Young Professional (YP-II): M.Sc. in Community Science in Food Science & Nutrition, Food & Nutrition Science, Food Nutrition and Dietetics, / M.Sc. Home Science in Foods and Nutrition, or B.Tech in Food Technology/ Food Process Engineering/ Food Science & Technology/ Food Process Technology.
- Young Professional (YP): B.Tech. Degree (4 yrs UG) in Food Technology/ Food Process Engineering/ Food Science and Technology / Food Processing Technology (or) M.Sc., in Food Science/ Food Science & Nutrition.
- Project Assistant (PA): B.Tech. Degree (4 yrs UG) in Food Technology/ Food Process Engineering/ Food Science and Technology / Food Processing Technology.
Age Limit Details
The age limit as on the date of the interview is 35 years for male candidates and 40 years for female candidates.
Salary & Pay Scale
- Senior Research Fellow (SRF): Rs. 42,000/- (consolidated pay)
- Young Professional (YP-II): Rs. 35,000/- (consolidated pay)
- Young Professional (YP): Rs. 25,000/- (consolidated pay)
- Project Assistant (PA): Rs. 20,000/- + 10% HRA

How to Apply
Walk-in-Interview Process:
- Candidates are required to fill the application form as per the format provided on the Institute's website.
- Eligible candidates must appear for the walk-in interview in person at NIFTEM - Thanjavur on 05.12.2025 at 9:30 AM.
- At the time of the interview, candidates must bring the following:
- The completed application form (hard copy).
- Original certificates and documents for verification (including OBC/SC/ST/PH certificates, grade cards, mark sheets, publications).
- A set of photocopies of all relevant documents.
- Two recent color passport-size photographs.
- An updated Curriculum Vitae (CV).
- No TA/DA will be provided for attending the interview.
Application Fee
The application fee is Rs. 500/-. SC, ST, PWD, and Women candidates are exempted from payment of fees.
