NIT Rourkela Recruitment 2025 – 1 Junior Research Fellow (JRF) Post

• Essential Qualifications:
  • B.Tech/B.E in Civil Engineering with a minimum CGPA of 7.0 or 65%.
  • M.E/M.Tech. in Transportation Engineering/equivalent with a minimum CGPA of 6.5 or 60% from a recognized technical Institute/University with 1st class career throughout.
• Notes/Relaxations:
  • Candidates belonging to Reserved Category (PWD/SC/ST) may have a relaxation of 0.5 CGPA or 5% in the +2 level.
  • For Engineering and Science disciplines (except Life Science), a candidate should have passed Mathematics in +2 Science or Diploma.
• Desirable Qualifications:
  • Good knowledge of Pavement Engineering (materials, design, characterization of asphalt mixtures).
  • Experience in the related field.
  • Qualified in GATE or other national level fellowship tests (e.g., DST-INSPIRE) or joined as JRF/SRF in any research project.

The upper age limit for applying for the project position shall be 28 years.

• Relaxation of up to 5 years for Schedule Castes (SC), Schedule Tribes (ST), Persons with Disabilities (PWD), and Female applicants.
• Relaxation of up to 3 years for Other Backward Classes (OBC - Non-creamy layer candidates).
• Age limit will be reckoned as on the last date of receipt of applications.
