The North Western Karnataka Road Transport Corporation (NWKRTC) is a public sector undertaking primarily involved in providing efficient public road transport services across the North Western region of Karnataka. Educational Qualifications for Direct Recruitment:

Assistant Administrative Officer: Master's Degree in Social Work or Business Administration with specialization in Personnel Management/Human Relations from a University established by Law.
Assistant Accounts Officer: Master's Degree in Commerce or B.Com with MBA in Finance from a University established by Law.
Assistant Labour and Welfare Officer: Post-graduation in Social Work (MSW) with specialization in Industrial Relations / Personnel Management / Labour Welfare from a University established by Law.
Assistant Law Officer: Degree in Law from a University established by Law.
Assistant Mechanical Engineer: Degree in Automobile or Mechanical Engineering from a University established by Law.
Assistant Traffic Manager: Post-graduation in MBA with specialization in Transportation/Marketing/MSW in Personnel Management and Industrial Relations OR BE in Mechanical/Automobile Engineering from a University established by Law.

Educational Qualifications for Internal Recruitment:

Assistant Labour Welfare Officer: Bachelor's Degree from a University established by Law.
Assistant Traffic Manager: Bachelor's Degree from a University established by Law.
Assistant Mechanical Engineer: Bachelor's Degree in Automobile or Mechanical Engineering from a University established by Law.
Assistant Law Officer: Degree in Law from a University established by Law.

Mandatory Requirements for certain posts: For Assistant Mechanical Engineer and Assistant Traffic Manager (both Direct and Internal), candidates must possess a valid HTV Driving License or obtain one within the probation period, failing which the appointment will be cancelled.

A certificate in Computer Knowledge (MS Office & Desktop Publishing with Kannada software) from Keonics or other Karnataka Government recognized institutions is mandatory before the end of the probationary period.

Age Limit Details

The minimum age is 18 years as of the application deadline. The maximum age for General Merit candidates is 38 years. For categories 2A, 2B, 3A, 3B, the maximum age is 41 years. For Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe/Category-1 candidates, the maximum age is 43 years.
As per Karnataka Government order No. CA&SD 262 SENINI 2025 dated 29-09-2025, a one-time age relaxation of three (3) years is applicable for all categories. Departmental candidates may receive age relaxation up to a maximum of ten (10) years, provided their age does not exceed 45 years after relaxation.

Salary & Pay Scale

The pay scales for the various Group-2 Officer posts are structured with incremental stages. For Assistant Administrative Officer and Assistant Accounts Officer, the starting pay is Rs. 42,600. For Assistant Law Officer, Assistant Labour and Welfare Officer, Assistant Mechanical Engineer, and Assistant Traffic Manager, the starting pay is Rs. 59,330. The highest pay attainable within these scales is Rs. 75,010, exclusive of other allowances.

Candidates must have studied Kannada as the first or second language at the SSLC or equivalent level. Otherwise, they must pass a Kannada language test conducted by the organization.
