This recruitment is ideally suited for existing Home Guards Volunteers in Meghalaya who possess a Home Guards Basic Training Certificate and have accumulated at least three years (1095 days) of deployment experience with various Requisitioning Agencies. Candidates must be Indian citizens domiciled in Meghalaya and willing to serve in remote border areas of Khasi, Jaintia & Garo Hills. It's for individuals seeking a temporary, voluntary, and part-time engagement.

Individuals who are not currently Home Guards Volunteers or lack the mandatory three years of deployment experience with Requisitioning Agencies are not eligible. Those seeking permanent government employment, regularization, or roles with long-term tenure should not apply, as this deployment is purely temporary, voluntary, and for a one-year period (extendable) with no claim to regularization.

This is a specialized, state-level contractual opportunity within the Meghalaya Civil Defence & Home Guards framework, specifically for the Border Wing Homeguards Battalion.
