Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification

Candidates must possess one of the following full-time regular qualifications from a recognized institute/university:

  • ITI (Electrician): ITI in Electrician Trade.
  • Diploma Apprentice: 3-year Diploma in Electrical or Civil Engineering.
  • Graduate Apprentice: B.E./B.Tech/B.Sc. (Engg.) in Electrical, Civil, Electronics/Telecommunication, or Computer Science Engineering.
  • HR Executive: MBA (HR) or a Post Graduate Diploma in Personnel Management/Industrial Relations.
  • CSR Executive: Master in Social Work (MSW) or in Rural Development/Management.
  • Law Executive: Graduate Degree with LLB or an Integrated 5-year LLB degree.
  • PR Assistant: Bachelor's in Mass Communication (BMC/BJMC) or BA in Journalism & Mass Comm.
  • Rajbhasha Assistant: B.A. in Hindi with proficiency in English.

Important: Candidates must have passed their final examinations within two years from the application closing date (i.e., between 07.10.2023 and 06.10.2025).

Applicants must have completed 18 years of age at the time of application. No maximum age limit is specified in the notification.

Salary & Pay Scale

The monthly stipend for apprentices is based on their qualification:

How to Apply

Candidates must follow a two-step process to apply:

  1. Register on Government Portals:
    • Candidates for Degree/Diploma in Engineering must register on the NATS portal at https://nats.education.gov.in/.
    • Candidates for all other trades (HR, CSR, Law, PR, Rajbhasha, ITI) must register on the NAPS portal at https://apprenticeshipindia.gov.in.
    • Ensure your profile on the respective portal is 100% complete.
  2. Apply on POWERGRID Website:
    • After obtaining the registration number from the NATS/NAPS portal, visit the POWERGRID official website at www.powergrid.in.
    • Navigate to the 'Careers' section, then 'Engagement of Apprentices', and click on 'Apply Online'.
    • Fill out the application form with the necessary details and submit it before the deadline of 06.10.2025.

Only online applications submitted through the POWERGRID website will be accepted. Candidates are advised to apply for only one region/state.
