Principal District and Sessions Court Nellore Recruitment 2025 for 6 Special Judicial Magistrate Posts

Candidates must meet one of the following criteria to be eligible:

• Retired/Resigned Judicial Officers: Must have held any post in the Andhra Pradesh State Judicial Service.
• Ministerial Service Staff: Must have held a post not below the rank of Superintendent in the Andhra Pradesh Judicial Ministerial Subordinate Service and possess a law degree.
• High Court Service Staff: Must have held a post of Section Officer or above in the Andhra Pradesh High Court Service and possess a law degree.
• Advocates: Must have practiced as an advocate for at least five years and is currently not on the rolls of the Bar Council.
• Retired Gazetted Officers: Must be a retired Gazetted Officer with a law degree OR have passed the criminal judicial test and exercised Magisterial powers for not less than three years.

Preference: A suitable retired Judicial Officer will be given preference.

The age criteria for applicants are as follows:

• For Non-practicing Advocates: Must be above 45 years and below 65 years of age.
• For Retired Persons: Must have at least one and a half years of service remaining to complete 65 years of age as on the date of notification.

The powers conferred on the Special Judicial Magistrate will automatically be withdrawn upon attaining the age of 65 years.
