Eligibility Criteria & Educational Qualifications

Who is eligible to apply for this recruitment? Check essential educational qualifications, branch/stream criteria, and age limits.

Educational Qualification

  • Programme Officer (SCPS) & District Child Protection Officer (DCPO): Post Graduate degree (minimum 50%) in Social Work, Sociology, Child Development, Human Rights, Public Administration, Psychology, Psychiatry, Law, Public Health, or Community Resource Management. Also requires 12th pass (minimum 60%) and computer skills with fluency in English & Hindi for DCPO.
  • Protection Officer (Institutional/Non-Institutional Care): Either a Post Graduate degree (minimum 50%) in specified fields OR a Graduate degree in specified fields with 2 years of experience. Both options require 12th pass (minimum 60%), computer skills, and fluency in English & Hindi.
  • Legal-cum-Probation Officer (LCPO): LLB from a recognized university, 12th pass (minimum 60%), good understanding of Child rights & protection, and computer proficiency with English & Hindi fluency.
  • Social Worker: Graduate (minimum 50%) in B.A. Social Work/Sociology/Social Sciences, 12th pass (minimum 60%), computer skills, and fluency in English & Hindi.
  • Counselor: Preferably Graduate (minimum 50%) in B.A. Social Work/Sociology/Psychology/Public Health/Counseling OR a PG Diploma in Counseling and Communication. Both require 12th pass (minimum 60%), computer skills, and fluency in English & Hindi.
  • Accountant: Graduate (minimum 50%) in Commerce/Mathematics, 12th pass (minimum 60%), computer skills with Tally command, and fluency in English & Hindi.
  • Data Analyst (DA): Graduate (minimum 50%) in Statistics/Mathematics/Economics/Computer (BCA), 12th pass (minimum 60%), and knowledge of Hindi & English.
  • Assistant cum Data Entry Operator (ADEO): 12th pass (minimum 60%), 1-year Diploma/Certificate in Computer Applications with a minimum typing speed of 35 WPM in English, and basic computer knowledge.
  • Outreach Worker (ORW): 12th pass (minimum 60%), good communication skills, knowledge of Hindi & English, and basic computer knowledge.

Age Limit & Relaxations

Applicants must meet the age requirement specified in the Terms of Reference for each post and should not exceed this age as of the application closing date (26/06/2026). Reservation will be applicable as per the rules of the State government. Further age relaxation will be provided to applicants already working in the Department of WCD, GNCTD, based on their departmental experience.
