- A Graduate Degree from a university/institution recognized by the Government of India or its regulatory bodies.
- Any one of the following professional certifications:
- Professional certification in financial risk management from the Global Association of Risk Professionals (GARP).
- Professional Risk Management (PRM) Certification from the PRMIA Institute.
- Alternatively, at least two years' experience as Chief Risk Officer (CRO) in a regulated lending entity where CRO appointment requires Board approval.
- Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) charter awarded by the CFA Institute.
- Chartered Accountant (CA) qualification awarded by the ICAI or equivalent qualification abroad.
- Cost and Management Accountant (CMA) qualification awarded by the ICAI or equivalent qualification abroad.
- Postgraduate degree in Finance, Economics, Banking, Risk Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Certification or specialised qualification in treasury risk, credit risk, operational risk, cyber risk, climate risk, data analytics or model-risk management.
