Best-Fit Profile

This role is ideally suited for individuals with a strong academic background (M.Sc./M.Tech/B.E./B.Tech) in biophysics or related scientific fields. Candidates must possess at least one year of academic research project or industrial work experience in biophysics, with a keen interest in single-cell/molecule biophysics, microfluidics, and molecular biology techniques. An aptitude for scientific equipment, eagerness to learn new techniques, and a detail-oriented approach to research are highly valued.

Important Considerations

Individuals without specific prior experience in biophysics, molecular biology techniques, or related research environments should not apply. Those seeking immediate permanent government employment might find this role unsuitable, as it is a temporary, project-based position with a fixed term (1-2 years). A lack of the stipulated educational qualifications or the mandatory one year of experience will also be a dealbreaker.

Career Impact

The Raman Research Institute, being a premier research institute funded by the Government of India, offers exceptional exposure to cutting-edge basic sciences research. This Research Assistant position provides a valuable platform for gaining specialized expertise in biophysics, enhancing a professional's research profile, and potentially opening doors to further academic pursuits or specialized roles within the scientific community.
