Educational Qualification

  • Essential Qualifications:
    • 1st Class M.Sc MLT/M.Sc in Virology/Microbiology/Medical Microbiology/Biotechnology/Parasitology/Biochemistry or M.Tech in Biotechnology/Bioinformatics from a recognized university/institute.
    • OR 2nd Class M.Sc MLT/M.Sc in Virology/Microbiology/Medical Microbiology/Biotechnology/Parasitology/Biochemistry or M.Tech in Biotechnology/Bioinformatics from a recognized university/institute with PhD.
  • Desirable Qualifications:
    • Additional post-doctoral research/training experience in molecular microbiology, PCR, sequencing, etc.
    • Knowledge of Computer Applications, Business Intelligence tools, or Data Management.
    • Knowledge of applied bioinformatics.
    • Candidates with a PhD degree will be preferred.
    • Original article publications in relevant fields will be given preference.
  • Remarks: PhD in related topics is equivalent to three years' experience. M.Tech Biotechnology/Bioinformatics is equivalent to two years' experience.

Pay Scale & Monthly Remuneration

Emoluments are a consolidated Rs. 67,000 per month plus HRA. Increment will be 5% after every two years as per DST norms. Existing pay will be protected in case of revised structure. Other allowances will be provided as per funding agency admissibility.

Application Procedure

Interested candidates are invited to apply for the Scientist C (Non-Med.) position on a contractual basis. The application process involves:

  • The selection process will involve a Walk-in-Interview and/or a written test, followed by an interview.
