Educational Qualification

Essential Qualifications:
- 1st Class M.Sc MLT/M.Sc in Virology/Microbiology/Medical Microbiology/Biotechnology/Parasitology/Biochemistry or M.Tech in Biotechnology/Bioinformatics from a recognized university/institute.
- OR 2nd Class M.Sc MLT/M.Sc in Virology/Microbiology/Medical Microbiology/Biotechnology/Parasitology/Biochemistry or M.Tech in Biotechnology/Bioinformatics from a recognized university/institute with PhD.
Desirable Qualifications:
- Additional post-doctoral research/training experience in molecular microbiology, PCR, sequencing, etc.
- Knowledge of Computer Applications, Business Intelligence tools, or Data Management.
- Knowledge of applied bioinformatics.
- Candidates with a PhD degree will be preferred.
- Original article publications in relevant fields will be given preference.
Remarks: PhD in related topics is equivalent to three years' experience. M.Tech Biotechnology/Bioinformatics is equivalent to two years' experience.

Salary & Pay Scale

Emoluments are a consolidated Rs. 67,000 per month plus HRA. Increment will be 5% after every two years as per DST norms. Existing pay will be protected in case of revised structure. Other allowances will be provided as per funding agency admissibility.
