- Masters degree in Biotechnology/ Virology / Plant Pathology OR Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Technology from a recognized University or equivalent; AND
- Four years experience in Research and Development in industrial and Academic Institutions or Sciences and Technology Organizations and Scientific activities and services; OR
- Doctoral degree in Biotechnology/ Virology / Plant Pathology / Engineering and Technology from a recognized University or equivalent.
- Research experience in molecular diagnostics of viruses and virus-like agents.
- Hands-on expertise in PCR / RT-PCR / qPCR / DAS / DAC ELISA.
- Ability to independently perform diagnostics and virome analysis of crops covered under NCS-TCP.
- Good knowledge of SOPs preparation, database management.
- Good publications in SCI journal.
- NET qualified candidates would be preferred.
