Space Applications Centre (SAC) ISRO Recruitment 2026: 49 Scientist/Engineer SD & SC Vacancies

In addition to the basic pay, Dearness Allowances (DA), House Rent Allowances (HRA), and Transport Allowance are payable as per extant government rules. Employees will be governed by the National Pension System/Unified Pension Scheme. Additional benefits include medical facilities for self and dependents, subsidized canteen, quarters facility (in lieu of HRA), Leave Travel Concession, Group Insurance, and House Building Advance, as per DOS/Central Government orders.

Applications must be submitted online only through the ISRO Live Register portal. The application link will be active on the SAC website (https://www.sac.gov.in) or careers portal (https://careers.sac.gov.in) from 10:00 hours on 23.01.2026 to 17:00 hours on 12.02.2026.

Application Steps:

1. Register or update your registration on the ISRO Live Register portal.
2. Fill in all personal and educational details accurately.
3. Upload required documents:
   • Recent color passport-size photograph (not older than 6 months), in .jpg/.jpeg format, max 1MB, 500x500 pixels. (Selfies not allowed, plain/white background required).
   • Signature in .jpg/.jpeg format, max 1MB, 700x200 pixels (clear and legible).
   • All essential qualification certificates in .pdf format, max 1MB.
   • Valid Caste/Tribe, PwBD, Discharge/NOC for Ex-Servicemen certificates (if applicable, for fee refund) in .pdf format, max 1MB.
4. Proceed to pay the application fee (if applicable) through the Bharatkosh payment portal. For Scientist/Engineer 'SC' posts, an initial fee of ₹750/- is required, with provisions for partial/full refund based on category and written test appearance.
5. After successful payment and online registration, applicants will receive an online Registration Number.
6. Take a printout/screenshot of the online application summary for future reference.
7. Ensure all details are correct before final submission, as no corrections can be made after clicking 'SUBMIT'.

Candidates applying for more than one post should select a common city for the written test. For specific posts (Code 07 vs 08), separate applications are required if applying for vacancies at different units (ISRO Centres/Units vs NESAC).

There is no application fee for the posts of Scientist/Engineer 'SD' (Post Codes 01-03).

For Scientist/Engineer 'SC' posts (Post Codes 04-16), all applicants are initially required to pay a uniform application fee of ₹750/-. However, candidates who appear for the Written Test are eligible for a refund:

• Full refund for candidates exempted from payment (women, SC/ST, PwBD, Ex-Servicemen).
• Other candidates will receive a refund of ₹500/-, after a deduction of ₹250/-.

No refund will be provided if a candidate fails to appear for the Written Test. Applicants for both Post Code 07 (SAC/ISRO) and Post Code 08 (NESAC) must make two separate applications and separate fee payments.
