Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification

Candidates must possess one of the following qualifications, with successful completion of a six-month integrated curriculum of Certificate in Community Health (CCH) from a recognized institute or university (from academic year 2020 onwards):

B.Sc. (Nursing)
Post Basic B.Sc. (Nursing)
General Nurse and Midwifery (GNM) (for candidates who have completed CCH through IGNOU/ other State Public Health/ Medical Universities as per Ministry of Health & Family Welfare curriculum).

Note: For clarification, the academic year referred for integration of Middle Level Health Provider (MLHP) means students who underwent 4th year B.Sc. Nursing and 2nd year Post B.Sc. Nursing in the year 2019-2020 or onwards and have passed the course successfully.

Age Limit Details

The minimum age for applicants is 21 years. The maximum age limits as on 01.10.2024 are detailed below:

Salary & Pay Scale

The remuneration for each Community Health Officer (CHO) is Rs. 40,000/- per month. This amount comprises Rs. 32,000/- as fixed remuneration, with the remaining Rs. 8,000/- paid as Performance Linked Payment, which is calculated based on various pre-decided health indices.
