UDUPI COCHIN SHIPYARD LIMITED (UCSL) Recruitment 2026: 14 Commissioning Engineers & Assistants Vacancies

This role is most suitable for experienced ex-Indian Navy personnel who hold a Diploma in Mechanical/Marine or Electrical/Electronics Engineering, or have passed X Std. for Assistant roles. Candidates must have a minimum of 10 years of post-qualification experience in the operation and maintenance of marine equipment and systems, ideally gained on Indian Navy Ships. Proficiency in computer-based data management and record keeping is also beneficial.

Individuals who are not ex-Indian Navy personnel, do not possess the required engineering diploma or X Std. qualification, or have less than 10 years of relevant post-qualification experience should not apply. Current Commissioning Engineers or Assistants already on the rolls of UCSL are also ineligible.

Udupi Cochin Shipyard Limited (UCSL), a subsidiary of Cochin Shipyard Limited and an undertaking of the Ministry of Ports, Shipping and Waterways, Government of India, offers stable contractual employment. While these positions are on a contract basis (three years, extendable by two), they provide a significant opportunity for experienced ex-defense personnel to contribute specialized skills to a reputable public sector shipbuilding entity.
