Educational Qualification

Essential Qualifications & Experience Tracks:
• Option 1 (Master's Track): Master's degree in Life Sciences, Biotechnology, or Bioinformatics with at least 60% marks, along with minimum 15 years of professional experience in the field of Toxicology / Analytical Toxicology post-qualification.
• Option 2 (Ph.D. Track): Master's degree in Life Sciences, Biotechnology, or Bioinformatics with a Ph.D. in a subject related to Toxicology, along with minimum 10 years of professional experience in Toxicology / Analytical Toxicology (up to 3 years of the Ph.D. period shall be counted towards experience).
• Project Role: Validating the point-of-care Vionix Spectral Analyzer against gold-standard mass spectrometry platforms (ICP-MS, GC-MS, LC-MS/MS) for heavy metal and chemical toxicant analysis in multicentric clinical and field settings across India (collaborating with IIT Madras and regional medical centers).

Age Limit & Relaxations

Upper age limit is 50 years as on the closing date (09 September 2026). Standard Government of India relaxation rules apply for reserved categories.

As Senior Consultant, the incumbent provides high-level scientific and technical leadership on a nationwide multicentric validation project evaluating the portable Vionix Spectral Analyzer against benchtop gold-standard mass spectrometry instruments (ICP-MS, GC-MS, LC-MS/MS). The Senior Consultant oversees method validation protocols (linearity, LOD/LOQ, matrix effects, accuracy, precision as per ICH/FDA bioanalytical guidelines), coordinates multi-site field trials with collaborating institutes including IIT Madras and regional tertiary hospitals, leads quality control, and interfaces with regulatory bodies. The environment is academically elite, clinical, interdisciplinary, and demanding.
