Indian Institute of Engineering Science and Technology (IIEST), Shibpur, established in 1856 as Bishop's College / Bengal Engineering College, occupies a historic 121-acre riverside campus along the Hooghly in Shibpur, Howrah. The Department of Chemistry hosts active research in synthetic coordination chemistry, functional optoelectronic materials, molecular catalysts, and device fabrication. Selected JRF fellows will work on an ANRF-sponsored multi-institutional PAIR Network project, gaining access to cutting-edge analytical tools (single crystal XRD, NMR, electrochemical workstations, thin-film spin coaters, and spectroscopic instrumentation) and collaborating across premier partner research institutes.
