Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification

Candidates must possess the requisite qualification, degree, and tenure by July 31, 2025. All degrees or equivalent qualifications must be recognized by the National Medical Commission (NMC). The specific qualifications for each Post-doctoral Fellowship (PDF) Course are:

  • Critical Care Medicine, Neuro-Anaesthesiology, Paediatric Anaesthesia: MD/DNB in Anaesthesiology
  • Paediatric Critical Care: MD/DNB in Paediatrics
  • Neuro and Vascular Interventional Radiology: MD/DNB in Radio diagnosis
  • Neurotology and skull base Surgery: MS/DNB in Otorhinolaryngology (ENT)
  • Lower Limb Arthroplasty: MS/DNB in Orthopedics
  • Neonatal Surgery, Paediatric Urology: MCh/DNB in Paediatrics Surgery

Age Limit Details

There is no specified upper age limit for the Post-doctoral Fellowship Course. However, candidates seeking relaxation in application fees or other criteria based on caste (SC/ST/OBC/EWS) must submit a valid certificate, even though no reservation is applicable for DM/M.Ch./PDF courses.

Salary & Pay Scale

Candidates selected for the Post-doctoral Fellowship Course will receive emoluments applicable to Pay Level-11 of the pay matrix, with an entry pay of Rs. 67,700/- per month. This amount is supplemented by usual allowances, as admissible under the rules or revised pay scale as per the 7th Central Pay Commission (CPC) recommendations.

Course fees are consistent with those for DM/M.Ch courses at AIIMS Patna Super-Specialty Courses.
