The Agricultural and Processed Food Products Export Development Authority (APEDA) is an autonomous organization under the Department of Commerce, Ministry of Commerce & Industry, Govt. of India. Its mandate involves the promotion of agricultural and processed food products from India. APEDA actively works on agricultural trade facilitation and aims to improve market access for Indian agricultural products internationally by focusing on improving quality, shelf life, and addressing Sanitary & Phyto-Sanitary (SPS) and Technical Barriers to Trade (TBT) issues.
