• Doctoral Degree: Ph.D. Degree in Sanskrit or concerned/allied/relevant discipline.
• Master's Degree: Master's Degree in Sanskrit with at least 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point-scale wherever grading system is followed).
• Academic & Teaching Experience: A minimum of eight (8) years of experience of teaching and/or research in an academic/research position equivalent to that of Assistant Professor in a University, College, or Accredited Research Institution/industry.
• Publications & Research Score: A minimum of seven (7) publications in peer-reviewed or UGC-CARE listed journals and a total Research Score of seventy-five (75) as per the criteria given in Appendix II, Table 2 of UGC Regulations, 2018.
• Equivalence for Foreign Degrees: Ph.D. from foreign universities requires an Equivalence Certificate issued by the Association of Indian Universities (AIU), New Delhi.
