University of Kashmir Assistant Professor Recruitment 2026 – Apply Online for 29 Posts

Essential Qualifications: Master's degree with at least 55% marks (50% for SC/ST/OBC-NCL/PwD) in the concerned/relevant/allied discipline from a recognized Indian or foreign university, along with UGC/CSIR-NET or JKSET qualification.

Exemptions: Candidates awarded a Ph.D. degree in accordance with UGC (Minimum Standards and Procedure for award of Ph.D. Degree) Regulations 2009/2016 (with MSP certificate) or Ph.D. from a foreign university ranked in the top 500 of QS/THE/ARWU world rankings are exempted from NET/SET.

Age limit is governed by the statutes of the University of Kashmir and UGC guidelines for teaching faculty appointments.

• Step 1: Visit www.kashmiruniversity.net and click on the 'Jobs/Recruitment' link. Read the detailed instructions before proceeding.
• Step 2: Register as an applicant, remembering your Username and Password for future reference. A valid Email ID and Mobile Number are required.
• Step 3: After successful registration, Login to the system using your Username and Password.
• Step 4: Fill in personal details, educational qualifications, experience, etc. Preview the form, make corrections if needed, and then Submit. No editing is allowed after final submission. Print out the application form and note the Form No.
• Step 5: Select payment mode and deposit the application fee of Rs. 1200/- through Online mode only. (PwD candidates are exempted).
• Hard Copy Submission: Submit a print-out of the online-submitted application form along with all duly numbered enclosures and the online payment acknowledgement. This complete set must be properly bound and sent either personally or through Speed Post/Registered Post to: Room No.106, New Administrative Block, Main Campus, University of Kashmir, Hazratbal, Srinagar-190006, UT of J&K.
• The envelope containing the Application Form must be super-scribed as “Application for the post of ............ Post ID ........” and reach by or before the last date.
