Educational Qualification

Post-wise prescribed educational qualifications (detailed in Annexure-A):
• Horticulture Technician Grade-IV [Agriculture Dept]: 10+2 with one year Basic Horticulture Training passed.
• Senior Canning Attendant [Agriculture Dept]: Matric or equivalent with 6 months training in Fruit Preservation.
• Junior Pharmacist [Health & Medical Education Dept]: 10+2 with Science or above qualification with Degree/Diploma in Pharmacy from a recognized institution and registration with Pharmacy Council.
• Junior Lab Technician / Ophthalmic / Theatre Technician: 10+2 with Science and Diploma in relevant medical laboratory / ophthalmic / operation theatre technology.
• Junior Laboratory Assistant [Higher Education]: 10+2 with Science / relevant discipline.
• Domicile Requirement: Candidate must be a bona fide Domicile of Jammu & Kashmir holding a valid Domicile Certificate on or before 09.10.2026.

Age Limit & Relaxations

Age requirement as on 01.01.2026 (Candidates should not be born after 01.01.2008):
• Open Merit (OM): Max 40 years (Not born before 01.01.1986)
• SC / ST-1 / ST-2 / RBA / ALC/IB / EWS / OBC: Max 43 years (Not born before 01.01.1983)
• Physically Challenged (PwBD): Max 42 years (Not born before 01.01.1984)

Stationed across district and divisional cadres of Jammu & Kashmir (e.g. Srinagar, Budgam, Baramulla, Anantnag, Pulwama, Kupwara, Kulgam, Ganderbal, Shopian, Bandipora, etc.). Cadre allocation is determined based on merit-cum-preference. As per J&K Civil Services Decentralization and Recruitment Rules, district cadre employees are non-transferable outside their respective allotted districts, while divisional cadre staff remain transferable within the respective division (Jammu or Kashmir). Initial appointment is subject to a 2-year probation period.
