DHS Thoothukudi Recruitment 2026 – Apply for 112 Contractual Staff Nurse Posts

Essential Qualifications: Diploma in General Nursing and Midwifery (GNM) OR B.Sc. (Nursing) from a Government or Government-recognized Nursing College approved by the Indian Nursing Council (INC).
Registration Requirement: Mandatory active registration with the Tamil Nadu Nurses and Midwives Council (TNNMC).

Upper age limit is up to 50 years as on the last date of application submission (25.09.2026). Standard Tamil Nadu Government age relaxation guidelines apply for reserved categories.

1. Visit the official Thoothukudi District administration portal at thoothukudi.nic.in and download the official recruitment notification and application proforma.
2. Fill out the application form legibly in Tamil or English with personal, academic, and nursing council registration details.
3. Affix a recent passport-size photograph to the application form.
4. Enclose self-attested photocopies of all mandatory supporting documents:
   • Proof of Date of Birth (SSLC / 10th Standard Mark Sheet or Birth Certificate).
   • HSC (12th Standard) Mark Sheet.
   • GNM Diploma / B.Sc. Nursing Degree Certificates along with all semester/year-wise mark statements.
   • Valid and active Registration Certificate from the Tamil Nadu Nurses and Midwives Council (TNNMC).
   • Community / Caste Certificate issued by the competent Revenue Authority.
   • Nativity / Residence Proof (Nativity Certificate / Ration Card / Voter ID / Aadhaar Card).
   • Evidence of having studied Tamil language as a subject in 10th or 12th standard.
   • Character and Conduct Certificate from the institution last attended.
   • Recent Conduct Certificate issued by a Group A or Group B Government Gazetted Officer (within last 3 months).
   • Disability Certificate (if applying under Differently Abled category).
   • Prior public health / clinical hospital experience certificates (if applicable).
5. Submit the completed application form with all enclosures in person or send by post to: The District Health Officer / The Executive Secretary, District Health Society, District Health Office, Mappillaiurani PHC Campus, Mappillaiurani, Thoothukudi – 628 002, Tamil Nadu.
6. Applications must reach the DHS office on or before 25 September 2026 by 5:00 PM. Applications received after the deadline will not be entertained.
