Educational Qualification

Candidates must possess:

  • B.E. / B.Tech. / B.Sc. (Engg) in Civil, Mechanical, Industrial, or Production Engineering with a minimum of 60% marks or equivalent CGPI.
  • Grade II Experience: Minimum 5 years post-qualification relevant experience as a Planning Engineer with expertise in Primavera P6, MS Project, or similar tools, along with PMC, EPCM, or EPCC execution in Oil & Gas, Fertilizer, or Power sectors.
  • Grade III Experience: Minimum 9 years post-qualification relevant experience in planning & scheduling of engineering, procurement, logistics, site installation, and construction functions in Oil & Gas, Fertilizer, or Power Plant projects.

Age Limit & Relaxations

Upper age limit as on 31.08.2026 is 37 years for Associate Engineer Grade II and 41 years for Associate Engineer Grade III. Relaxable by 5 years for SC/ST, 3 years for OBC (NCL), 10 to 15 years for PwD, and as per rules for Ex-Servicemen.

Selection is conducted through online application registration, preliminary document screening, and Personal Interview. Applications submitted online between September 15, 2026 and September 29, 2026 will be screened against eligibility criteria (min. 60% in engineering degree and 5/9 years relevant experience). The role involves developing comprehensive Level-3 and Level-4 schedules using Primavera P6 and MS Project, tracking progress S-curves, managing resource histograms, monitoring EPC contractors, and analyzing delay claims and schedule variances. Working locations include the EIL Head Office/Complex in Gurugram/NCR, regional engineering offices (Bengaluru, Kolkata, Mumbai), or field construction sites across India and abroad. Candidates experience demanding project environments with tight milestone schedules and site travel requirements.

Posting & Transfer Policy

The engagement is purely on a fixed-term basis initially for a duration of 3 (three) years. Unless extended by mutual agreement or terminated earlier, the engagement concludes automatically upon expiry of 3 years. Selected engineers receive consolidated monthly pay (₹80,000 to ₹96,000 in X-cities, ₹76,000 to ₹91,200 in Y-cities, ₹72,000 to ₹86,400 in Z-cities), medical insurance reimbursement up to ₹2 lakh/year, 2 days paid leave per month, and out-of-pocket expenses for beyond-hours work. Contractual service confers no claim or right for regular absorption or permanent employment in EIL.
