Best-Fit Profile
This recruitment is ideally suited for qualified medical professionals holding an MBBS degree, particularly those with a Post Graduate Degree/DNB/Diploma in Psychiatry for the Paediatrician role, or with a compulsory one-year internship for Medical Officer and GDMO positions. Candidates must be registered under the West Bengal Medical Council and be permanent residents of West Bengal. Those with up to 5 years of post-qualification experience will benefit from additional scoring. Existing employees of the Health & Family Welfare Samiti in the same position are also eligible with age relaxation.
Important Considerations
Individuals who do not possess an MBBS degree from an MCI-recognized institute or are not registered with the West Bengal Medical Council should not apply. Those without the specified PG qualification for Paediatrician or the compulsory internship for MO/GDMO will not meet essential criteria. Applicants who are not permanent residents of West Bengal or who fail to submit their applications and fees online by the deadline will be disqualified. This is a contractual position, so candidates primarily seeking permanent government employment might find it less suitable.
Career Impact
These positions offer an opportunity to serve in a state government health department under the National Health Mission in West Bengal. While contractual, these roles contribute directly to public health services in the Rampurhat Health District, providing valuable experience in a government setup. The organization, being part of the Government of West Bengal, carries inherent prestige. The roles, particularly for medical officers and specialists, offer professional development within public health, though the contractual nature implies limited long-term permanence.
