DLSA Indore Para Legal Volunteer Recruitment 2026 – Apply for PLV Posts

Para-Legal Volunteers (PLVs) serve as grassroots bridges between marginalized communities and the formal justice delivery system under the National Legal Services Authority (NALSA) Scheme, 2010. Operating under the direction of the Chairman and supervision of the District Legal Aid Officer at DLSA Indore, PLVs are stationed at Legal Aid Clinics in villages, community health centers, police stations, and Front Offices at District and Taluka court complexes. Key duties include spreading awareness about fundamental constitutional rights and welfare schemes; facilitating free legal aid applications for women, children, SC/ST, and undertrial prisoners; assisting in pre-litigation settlement through Lok Adalats and mediation; visiting remote villages across Depalpur, Hatod, Sanwer, and Dr. Ambedkar Nagar / Mhow; and submitting monthly performance reports. Work is voluntary and community-centric with a maximum engagement of 10 days per month.

Empanelment on the active PLV roll is valid for 1 (one) year under NALSA guidelines, extendable based on active participation, conduct, and annual performance appraisal by the Chairman, DLSA Indore. Deployment is across Indore district and Taluka legal services committees (Depalpur, Hatod, Sanwer, Dr. Ambedkar Nagar / Mhow).

The engagement is purely honorary and voluntary service ('सेवा कार्य है, नौकरी नहीं है') and does not confer any right to regular appointment, absorption, or civil post under the State Judiciary or Government. However, active PLV service provides invaluable field legal experience, recognized certificates from NALSA/MPSLSA, and distinct weightage for law students, advocates, and social workers.
