Eligibility categories for empanelment as Para-Legal Volunteer (PLV):
• Target Groups: Teachers (including retired teachers), Retired Government Servants & Senior Citizens, Anganwadi Workers, Doctors/Physicians, Students & Law Students (until they enroll as practicing advocates), Members of non-political service-oriented NGOs & Clubs, Members of Women Neighbourhood Groups, Maithri Sanghams and Self-Help Groups (SHGs), Marginalized and vulnerable community representatives, and educated persons of good moral character.
• Minimum Education: Minimum Matriculation (10th Standard) pass or equivalent from a recognized Board.
• Posting Location: Assigned specifically for manning the existing Village Legal Care and Support Centre at Gram Panchayat Thaltukhod, Tehsil Padhar, District Mandi, Himachal Pradesh.
• Nature of Role: Voluntary service without salary; entails spreading legal literacy, assisting indigent litigants, and connecting villagers with legal aid clinics and Lok Adalats.

Age Limit & Relaxations

Candidate must be minimum 18 years of age. There is no upper age bar for retired government servants, senior citizens, and community elders.

Selection is conducted through community background scrutiny and interview:
1. Application: Candidates submit filled Annexure-'A' application proforma along with educational documents and social work testimonials physically to DLSA Mandi or via email to [email protected] on or before 23.09.2026.
2. Scrutiny: Applications will be screened based on residence in/near Thaltukhod, community credibility, and willingness to serve disadvantaged groups.
