Fellows work directly on national defense programs such as Active Electronically Scanned Array (AESA) radars, Uttam radar for Tejas LCA, 3D Low-Level Light Weight Radars (Aslesha), Troop Level Radars, Weapon Locating Radars (Swathi), synthetic aperture radars (SAR), and digital signal processors (DSP). Duties involve electromagnetic simulation (CST Studio, HFSS), FPGA programming (VHDL/Verilog), antenna array design, digital beamforming, radar signal processing (MTI, pulse Doppler, CFAR detection algorithms), and radar testing in anechoic chambers. Standard central defense lab hours (8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday). Strict security environment with electronic devices prohibited inside campus.
