The Ex-Servicemen Contributory Health Scheme (ECHS) is an initiative by the Ministry of Defence, Government of India. It aims to provide comprehensive medical care to Ex-Servicemen (ESM) pensioners and their dependents through a wide network of ECHS Polyclinics and empanelled private hospitals across the country.

Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification
- OIC Polyclinic: Graduate degree; must be a Retired Defence Officer drawing pension.
- Medical Officer: MBBS degree with valid registration with National/State Council.
- Pharmacist: B Pharmacy from a recognized institute OR 10+2 with Science stream and an approved Diploma in Pharmacy. Must be registered under the Pharmacy Act 1948.
- Dental Hygienist: Diploma in Dental Hyg / Class-1 DH/DORA Course (Armed Forces). Must be registered with Central/State Dental Council.
Age Limit Details
- Medical Officer: Max 68 years
- OIC Polyclinic: Max 65 years
- Pharmacist & Dental Hygienist: Max 58 years

- The deadline for submission is 26 November 2025. Applications received after this date will not be accepted.
- Shortlisted candidates will be called for an interview tentatively scheduled for December 2025.
