Educational Qualification

Candidates must possess an MBBS degree and MD / MS / DNB in the concerned broad specialty recognized by the National Medical Commission (NMC):

  • Associate Professor: Minimum 4 years experience as Assistant Professor in a recognized medical college (5 years for direct government appointees), at least 2 indexed research publications as first 3 authors, and BCBR certification.
  • Assistant Professor: Minimum 1 year experience as Senior Resident (SR) in the concerned department (non-medical M.Sc.+Ph.D. eligible up to 30% in non-clinical subjects).
  • CAS Specialist under ICU: MD/MS/DNB or PG Diploma in Anaesthesia, General Medicine, or Pulmonary Medicine.

Mandatory registration with the Telangana State Medical Council (TSMC) is required (non-local candidates must register within 1 week of selection).

  1. Walk-In Interview: Conducted on 08th September 2026 (10:00 AM to 04:00 PM) at the Office of the Principal, GMC Khammam.
  2. Merit Evaluation: For Assistant Professor: 75% marks in Qualifying Exam (MD/MS/DNB), up to 10 marks for experience, up to 10 marks for indexed publications, and 5 marks for Interview. For Associate Professor: duration of teaching experience in cadre.
  3. Local Reservation: 95% local reservation applies to Assistant Professors and CAS Specialists under Multi-Zone I.
