Government Medical College & Hospital Chandigarh 2026: 100 Vacancies for Senior Residents, CMO, and Other Medical Posts

• Candidates must possess a Postgraduate Medical Degree such as M.D., M.S., DNB, M.Ch., D.M. or an equivalent qualification in the relevant specialty.
• The degree must be recognized by the Medical Council of India (MCI) and the candidate registered with either the Medical Council of India or a State Medical Council.

• Upper Age Limit: 45 years as on 01.01.2026.
• Age Relaxation:
  • OBC Candidates: 3 years relaxation.
  • SC Candidates: 5 years relaxation.
  • Government Servants: 5 years relaxation.
  • Widows/Deserted Women/Women Judicially Separated: 10 years relaxation (if not remarried).

Interested Indian Nationals must apply on a prescribed application form, which is available on the official website of GMCH. The duly filled application form, along with the following documents, should be submitted on the same day before 11:00 A.M. at the Establishment Branch-II, Block-D, GMCH-32, Chandigarh:

• Photocopies of relevant certificates/testimonials (educational qualifications, experience, date of birth, MCI/State Medical Council registration, internship completion, MBBS mark sheets, valid Reservation Certificate, No Objection Certificate from present employer, etc.)
• A recent passport-size photograph.
• The requisite non-refundable application fee (Rs. 500/-, Rs. 250/- for SC candidates) which will be deposited on the spot.
• Applicants must also bring all original certificates/testimonials for verification.

The Walk-in-Interview will be held on 20/04/2026 at 2:00 P.M. in the office of Director Principal (Room No.210), Level-2 Block-D, GMCH, Chandigarh.
