IRCTC South Zone Consultant for Control Office Recruitment 2026 – Apply for 1 Post

Candidates must be retired Railway officials who have served in the Operating or Commercial Departments of Indian Railways (retired from Pay Level 6, 7, 8, 9, or 10 of 7th CPC) with a minimum of 20 years of work experience possessing extensive knowledge of train movements, railway control office coordination, and public handling. Retired staff from other railway departments with relevant control/train operations background are also eligible. Minimum educational qualification is Class 10th (Matriculation) pass, with a Graduation degree preferred.

Age should not exceed 64 years as on the date of notification (02.09.2026). As per IRCTC HR policy, re-engaged employees are permitted to serve up to a maximum age limit of 65 years.

Interested eligible retired employees must submit their application in the prescribed proforma (Annexure-II) along with self-attested photocopies of the following documents:

• PPO (as per 7th CPC)
• Service Certificate
• Last Pay slip
• Aadhar card
• Proof of identity and residence
• Two recent passport size photographs
• Documents supporting working experience as mentioned in the proforma

The duly filled application form with enclosures must be sent:

1. In a sealed cover, subscribed “Engagement of Consultant/Control Office at South Zone” to reach the following address on or before September 17, 2026:

   IRCTC South Zone, 6A The Rain Tree Place,
   No.9 Mc Nichols Road,
   Chetpet, Chennai -31.
2. The scanned application form along with enclosures must also be sent mandatorily to the email ID [email protected] on or before the closing date (September 17, 2026).

Applications received after the last date will not be entertained. Candidates shortlisted will be intimated via e-mail for interviews.
