Junior Secretariat Assistant & Lower Division Clerk

Candidates must possess a 12th Class pass or equivalent qualification from a recognized Board or University. This is a limited departmental competitive examination for existing Group 'C' employees.

• General: Not exceeding 45 years.
• Scheduled Castes/Scheduled Tribes (SC/ST): Not exceeding 50 years.
• Defence Personnel disabled in operation during hostilities: +3 years.
• Defence Personnel disabled in operation during hostilities (SC/ST): +8 years.
• The crucial date for age calculation varies by service/cadre (e.g., 01.07.2025, 01.08.2025, 01.01.2025).

• Candidates must apply online through the Staff Selection Commission's new website at https://ssc.gov.in.
• First, complete the One-Time Registration (OTR) process on the new website, as OTRs from the old website will not be functional.
• After successful OTR, proceed to fill out the online Application Form for the examination.
• During the application, a live photograph must be captured according to specified guidelines (good light, plain background, full-frontal view, face fully within red rectangle, no cap/mask/glasses).
• Upload a scanned signature in JPEG format (10-20 KB), dimensions 6.0 cm (width) x 2.0 cm (height).
• After submitting the online application, a printed copy of the application form, along with necessary documents, must be duly forwarded by the candidate's respective Service/Cadre Controlling Authority.
• The documents must reach "The Regional Director, Staff Selection Commission (Northern Region), Block No.12, C.G.O. Complex, Lodhi Road, New Delhi-110003" by 2026-07-03 (1800hrs).
• For candidates residing abroad, Andaman & Nicobar Islands, and Lakshadweep, the deadline for receipt of documents is 2026-07-10 (1800hrs).
• Only applications forwarded by the Head of Department/Office will be considered.
