- For Director, Principal, Professor, and Associate Director roles: Candidates must hold a Ph.D. in the relevant discipline with a strong academic record, significant research publications (e.g., minimum 10 for some roles), and substantial teaching/research/administration experience (10-15 years, with some as Professor equivalent). A First-Class Bachelor's and Master's degree (minimum 60% marks) in Veterinary or Allied Sciences are also essential for some Director posts.
- For Associate Professor roles: Requires a Ph.D. in the relevant discipline, a Master's Degree with at least 55% marks, and a minimum of eight years of teaching/research/extension experience equivalent to Assistant Professor, including published work and at least 5 publications.
- For Assistant Professor roles: Candidates need a good academic record with at least 55% marks at the Master's or Doctorate level in the relevant faculty. A valid NET certificate (UGC/CSIR/ICAR/State Government recognized) and at least one publication in a NAAS rated journal are required. Ph.D. holders with course work and specific publication criteria are exempted from NET.
A 5% relaxation in marks at Graduate and Master's level is provided for SC/ST/Differently-abled categories. Ph.D. degree holders who obtained their Master's prior to September 19, 1991, may also receive a 5% marks relaxation.
