Kamdhenu University Recruitment 2026 – Walk-in for 1 Field Assistant Post

The Field Assistant will be engaged under the ICAR/industry-sponsored clinical research project titled 'An Open label randomized placebo-controlled multicenter study to assess safety and immunogenicity of live attenuated Lumpy Skin Disease vaccine (freeze dried) manufactured by Indian Immunological Limited in Cattle and Buffaloes' at the College of Veterinary Science and Animal Husbandry, Kamdhenu University, Rajpur (Nava) Himmatnagar. Daily operational responsibilities involve cattle and buffalo restraint, assisting veterinary scientists in vaccine administration, monitoring post-vaccination clinical signs, collecting blood and serum samples, maintaining cold chain vaccine storage, and entering clinical trial data.

The position is purely temporary and contractual for the duration of the research scheme (Budget Head: 060201044). Posting is at the College of Veterinary Science and Animal Husbandry campus in Rajpur (Nava) Himmatnagar, Gujarat, with periodic local travel to surrounding dairy herds and cattle farms across Sabarkantha and nearby districts. The engagement automatically ceases upon completion of the research scheme and confers no right to absorption or permanent employment in Kamdhenu University.

As a scheme-specific contractual post, there is no departmental cadre promotion or seniority ladder. However, direct hands-on experience in vaccine trial methodologies, clinical monitoring, and livestock health management under Kamdhenu University provides invaluable practical credentials and preferential weightage when competing for regular Livestock Inspector (Pashu Parichar / Pashu Dhan Nirikshak) and Veterinary Assistant posts in the Gujarat State Department of Animal Husbandry (GSSSB / GPSSB).
