This role is most suitable for highly experienced Indian Forest Service (IFS), State Forest Service (SFS), other Central Group-A officers, Scientists/Wildlife Biologists, or Professors from recognized institutions. Candidates must possess relevant postgraduate qualifications and significant service experience (ranging from 4 to 18 years, depending on the specific post/level) in wildlife management, research, conservation, or related fields. An aptitude for training, education, and research within an institutional setting is crucial for success.

Individuals who do not meet the strict eligibility criteria for deputation from eligible government services or academic institutions should not apply. Those lacking the specified minimum years of regular service and specialized experience in wildlife management or related areas will not be considered. Candidates who are not cleared from vigilance angles or have ongoing disciplinary proceedings are ineligible. Furthermore, IFS officers who have not completed their mandatory three years 'cooling off' period by the stipulated date should also refrain from applying.
