Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification

Candidates must possess one of the following qualifications:

Full time apprenticeship in an approved Marine workshop with simultaneous attendance to an approved course of Engineering in a Technical School & passing out requisite examination for Diploma of the School.
Apprentices from Marine Workshop and B. Tech (Marine) who are eligible to appear in class IV Part 'A' Engineer's Examination of MOT.
Candidates with equivalent training and experience from the Indian Navy.
Candidates retired from Indian Navy as Petty Officer Marine Engineering (CHERA / CH MECH / POME).

Age Limit Details

The upper age limit is 50 years as on 01.11.2025. No age relaxations for specific categories are explicitly mentioned in this notification.

Salary & Pay Scale

The consolidated remuneration is Rs. 46,500/- per month. Additionally, mess expenses, as applicable during posting on board vessels, will be provided. An additional payment of 40% of the consolidated remuneration will be granted as Outstation Allowance when staying on board downriver for 24 hours on standby duty. Selected candidates are also eligible for reimbursement of monthly pre-paid/post-paid mobile charges up to Rs. 349/-.
