As per the revised qualifications for the post of Assistant Teacher (Special Education), candidates must possess the following:
- A graduate degree from a university established by law in India.
- One of the following teaching qualifications:
- A B.Ed. (Special Education) degree from a university/institution recognized by the Rehabilitation Council of India (RCI).
- A standard B.Ed. degree along with a Certificate/Diploma equivalent to B.Ed. Special Education from an RCI-recognized institution.
- A valid CRR number issued by the RCI is mandatory.
- Must have cleared the Uttarakhand Teacher Eligibility Test (UTET-2) or the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET-2).
- Additionally, a 6-month teaching training in the cross-disability field is required. However, this can be completed within 2 years of appointment if the RCI has not yet started such a training program.
